Car Insurance Mitsubishi (Car Insurance). What is going to happen to my car....?

What is going to happen to my car....? I haven't gotten an oil change, and it is 1500 miles overdue. It's just that I have been crazy busy in the last month and havent had any time. Is my car gonna break down or something? Just a little description of my car: about six years old and in good condition obviously other than the whole oil change situation.

If you're an average driver it'll be fine. It's well known that changing your oil every 3000 miles isn't necessary. Today's modern cars are well made high tech machines. The odds are you'll have a new car before your current one kicks the bucket. Older cars (80's and older) need a little more up keep. If you plan on having your car for a long time then keeping it well maintained will ad to its overall lifespan. 1500 over isn't that bad. But don't let it go much longer. It's not the end of the world. As long as you don't put it off much longer. Just be sure to CHECK the oil level to make sure that there's enough in there. Whatever you do, don't let it go down too much. Not only do you need to know to change the oil regularly in your vehicle, you should know why. Either spend the $30 or so to have a grease monkey change it, or come up with the $2800 to rebuild it later. try to get an oil change done as soon as you can but until then atleast check your oil and if needed add some. Its still a newer car so you should not have too much to worry about. Alot of new cars are saying they can go 4500-5000 in between oil changes instead of very 3,000 miles. Just dont let your oil get low and especially in summer and spring try to stay on the oil change schedules since its warmer outside your car will run warmer and will need that oil to keep it all lubed up.

How do you go about financing a car? I want to buy a newish car from a dealer, and I dont know what to do at all. Mitsubishi . Air Filter Replacement Tips

A combustible engine needs a perfect air-to-fuel ratio in order to operate properly. Air intake systems provide the air flow to enter the engine and then mix with fuel. Because of pollutants and contaminants in the air, air filters are introduced in order to prevent debris from entering the cylinders of the engine. Filters used for any purpose get clogged after time and wear and tear. Replacing the air filter in your car is generally inexpensive and easy to do.
Access
Locating the air box in the engine compartment is usually obvious. It's a large plastic box with retaining clips or screws holding the cover onto it. Removing the cover to expose the filter requires releasing the clips or removing the screws. In most engines, the cover can then be removed, the old filter extracted and then the new filter installed in the same position the old one was in.
Some engines require a more complex air filter replacement procedure. Some GM engines, for example, require disassembling the air intake system in order to access the filter. While it's not overly complicated, it does require attention to detail and making sure the system is restored properly. Most newer vehicles use a mass air flow (MAF) sensor in the intake system, and a leak caused by an improperly sealed connection can trigger a check engine light. In addition, the MAF sensors employ a wired connection that needs to be reconnected if detached for filter installation. Another factor is ensuring that vacuum lines run into the intake system.
An air intake system and air box can be located just about anywhere in the engine compartment, depending on the model and size. An easy way to find it is to follow the throttle body to the black tubular connection until you reach a square or round compartment with clips or screws retaining the cover.
Maintenance
The maintenance schedule in your owner's manual will help you to determine how often to replace your air filter. Remember that this is simply a guideline. Where you live and what roads you drive on will factor in as well. Rural areas and dirt roads may require replacing the air filter more often than urban areas. In addition, rural settings can invite neighboring rodents to nest inside the air boxes. Because engine compartments are warm and air boxes offer a dry and safe environment that is easy for small pests to access, it is not uncommon to find an air box chock full of food and/or nesting material, which can severely affect the amount of air able to get to the engine. Rodents will even begin to chew on the filter in order to add comfort to their nest.
In average conditions, the air filter should be replaced every 12,000 to 24,000 miles, but it should be checked more often to determine its effectiveness. A rule of thumb for checking an air filter is placing a flashlight or shop light against the back while looking through the front of it; if you can see plenty of light shining through, it's probably OK. When the light shining through isn't plentiful, replacing the filter is recommended.
Another condition on air filter clogging is the positive crankcase valve performing poorly. This backs up dirt and oil sludge into the intake system and coats the surface of the filter with black, sooty debris. If you notice this occurring, change the PCV valve and clean the hoses.
Quality
The quality of the air filter is important. You don't have to go all out and buy the most expensive one, but you shouldn't low-ball the quality by buying the least expensive one. Rechargeable filters are available on the market, but are very costly and require cleaning kits that make them no more cost- effective than a quality disposable filter being changed regularly.
Most auto parts stores have a good variety of air filters in stock for most common vehicles. Ask questions and make sure you're buying the right filter for your specific vehicle.

110 Part II: What Makes It Go? The amount of fuel that stays in the float bowl is controlled by a little float (surprise!) that bobs up and down on the surface of the fuel in the chamber. A hose from the fuel pump keeps the float bowl filled. If your car has too little fuel in its float bowl, it will hesitate or stall when you want that extra surge of power or when you try to start it in the morning. The float in the float bowl is adjustable, but adjusting it involves taking apart at least a portion of the carburetor. Taking it apart isn't too hard, but putting the thing back together again can get hairy, so if you think that your carbure

This vacuum draws the fuel out of the float bowl and mixes it with the air, creating what's called the fuel/air mixture. This amount is not enough for proper combustion, so your car won't start properly. To enrich the mixture, the butterfly valve on the choke stays closed, inhibiting the supply of air.
